Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and learn about us. We hope you will see in these pages that we are Loving, Fun, Adventurous, and a Unique Couple!
Our Hope
We can't imagine what is going through your mind right now. Your choice to trust another with your child humbles us. We have tried for many years to build a family and we are excited to pursue adoption. Your decision will give us one of the greatest and selfless gifts--the gift of family. Please know that we will give your child a home filled with love and happiness.
Why Adoption?
We always pictured having children. Even though we were trying to have a child for several years, adoption has always been on our heart. Even before we received our diagnoses of unexplained infertility we knew we would be adopting someday. We are blessed with a church that has a number of families who have adopted both domestically and internationally, so when we told our church that we were going to adopt everyone was excited! Additionally, both sides of our families are excited for us and can't wait!
Our Childhood
I (Jaime) grew up in Minnesota and lived with my mom as well as grandparents from the time I was five until thirteen. Then, my mom bought her own home and we moved out of my grandparent's house. I am very close to my grandparents, mom, and my uncles. I consider my grandparents like a second set of parents!
Justin grew up overseas in Singapore with his mom, dad, and 3 brothers. One of his brothers was hit by car in Singapore and is currently handicapped. As a result of this accident, Justin is very flexible and has learned to adapt easily as many changes happened in his house after his accident.
Work Life
I (Jaime) work has a research finance manager for a successful exercise physiology lab in a hospital. This job is incredibly flexible and allows me to spend part of my time working at home. Also, if something should come up unexpectedly, there is not a question of a doubt that I would be able to get time off. The people in my lab have been supportive while we have been on this journey.
Justin currently works as a custodian at our church—this job is flexible since there is no set schedule. We do not plan on using day care services since Jaime's job is very flexible and our financial situation will allow Justin to stay at home full time.

MEET JAIME THROUGH JUSTIN'S EYES
Jaime is a beautiful, intelligent, spiritually loving woman. Â She is my best friend, lover, better half and accountability partner. Â One of her greatest talents is being a good steward with money--this is something that we want to teach our kids at a young age. Â She has no greater love for me than she does for her family, and that love will flow to our future child. Â She will be a great mom.

ADOPTIVE HOME SUMMARY
Personality
Jaime has a type-A personality and is really organized. However, she has a goofy side and makes silly observations. Justin is more laid back than Jaime and really takes life as it comes. We are complements for each other and we work really well as a team.
Education and Occupation
Jaime has a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa. She is a research finance manager in a successful exercise physiology lab. Jaime works in a flexible work environment that allows her to work at home.
Justin has an Associate of Arts degree from the Art Institute of Chicago as well as an Associate of Arts in Comic Illustration! He is a talented artist! Currently, Justin works at church as an custodian but he will be a stay at home dad once the child arrives.
Physical Description
Jaime is 5'4 and slim. Justin is really tall (6'4) and slim. We are both Caucasian with European ancestry.
Our Family
Jaimes immediate family (mom and dad, grandparents, uncles) live in the same town. She is an only child. Since they live so close, we see Jaimes family almost on a weekly basis. Justins parents live 4 hours away in Iowa City. We see them about 4 or 5 times in a year. Justin has 3 brothers, one lives in Iowa City and two live in Denver CO.
Leisure Activities
Justin likes drawing and artwork. He is the creative one in this family! Jaime likes playing the stock market, working out, and trying different kinds of foods. Together we go on walks, ride bike, take trips around the world, and eat out. Both of us enjoy eating and trying different flavors of food.
Church Involvement
We are currently involved in a number of activities at our church. Justin is a leader in our church heading up the Sunday morning prayer ministry and ushering. Jaime is a member of both of
those ministries. We also participate in a food drive on a monthly basis that has it's home base at our church.
Home
We live in a family friendly neighborhood with an elementary and a middle school within walking distance. The high school is 2.5 miles down the road. Additionally, we live on a cul-de-sac with a sledding hill in the backyard. There are a lot of kids in our neighborhood.
How we Met-Marriage
We met at church when Jaime was in graduate school. Jaime had a huge crush on Justin, but would never admit it to him. After about a month of being friends, Justin finally asked Jaime out, but she was his second choice. However, his second choice soon became his first choice and we were married a year and half after going out on our first date.
